This is the best tool for “dirt fishin” Once you get the hang of it and get a feel for “casting”, this will significantly reduce your gopher problem. I used just one in a 1ac field and caught 15 in one month. Now I have two and use in both my 1ac fields. I look for the “freshies” (mounds of dirt), find the hole, then insert the Hawk anywhere from 3-6″ from the hole. Depends on time of day, but sometimes its been within 1hr, or next morning and “we’ve got yellow !” Pull em out, toss in the field for the hawks. Great product !

These things are legit! I have been fighting gophers and moles on my acre lot for years, have tried every trap and poison I could find with very limited success. Ordered one of these, set it three times, caught three gophers in less than 24 hours! Going to order a couple more since I seem to be running a gopher farm!

This trap works! We’ve had gopher and moles out the wazoo, last year contracted a professional. That helped, didn’t want to spend that kind of money this year. Had tried all kinds of other traps, explosives, etc… This trap nailed a mole in under a day. Finally something that works.

This is the answer to my prayers. I’ve tried everything over the years – gas cartridges, exhaust fumes, burying traps, welding gas mix (blow into tunnel for a minute, then ignite – quite effective, but also quite dangerous, and works only until the soil dries up, and then the gas escapes). This year my neighbor switched from alfalfa to canola, and the surviving pocket gophers all invaded my property – way too many to bury traps (I do have a day job after all). And now with my newly acquired gopherhawk – find the main tunnel, widen the hole, set the trap, wait, pull dead gopher out; rinse and repeat … simple, quick and hassle-free.

Took a couple of days but my yard is big. I had tried everything so this was my last ditch effort before I called an exterminator. Caught, and I assume, killed the gopher in 2 days. Highly highly recommend. And I love that you can use it over and over.

I wish I could attach a couple of pictures. My hubby has now killed 304 gophers. He got the first 50 with just one trap; he now has 4 traps. We would give this 10 stars if we could. Yes, there is a bit of skill to using them, but there are YouTube videos that can help; he just figured out the little things. Our 153 acres seems to be a gopher haven, so I have no doubt that he will get to 500!

I’ve set off dozens of gas bombs and used a pint jar of poison with little success. After watching a utube video, i bought one. Imagine my surprise and glee when i returned the very next morning seeing the yellow indicator and removing a very dead mole.
Few things live up to their hype… this one does. And then some. East to set. Easy to know that it’s done its job, and easy to reset. Thanks sooo much for this product.
